Learn and practice playing guitar, bass and a couple of other instruments. Make use of the many available exercises for scales, chords and tempos or play along to the pre-recorded background tracks.
Guitar and bass are indispensable instruments in almost any music style. This free program is a rich source of tools for learning and practicing your abilities with these instruments.
Among these tools is a chord finder that shows the most commonly used chords in their different positions. The program also has a scale finder that, as in the previous case, shows the different scales in all their positions. Both features are interactive; that is, you can "strum" each chord or note and hear how it sounds.
A very useful tool is a series of exercises that help you learn music theory, train your ear, and also study all the notes on the fretboard.
The most interesting feature is, in my opinion, the Jam Band. It has many elements you can combine to create a background track to practice your chords and scales. For example, you can create a drum pattern, add a guitar chord progression, a bass sequence and set the tempo and speed according to your needs. I haven't seen this feature even in pay-based programs. You need to try it to believe it.
Being freeware, this program shows some advertisements, but this does not affect the application's performance. Also, although the program's description says that the program us for Windows XP, Vista and 7, I used it on a computer with Windows 10, and it worked perfectly. In short, this is a must-have application for every guitar and bass player.
